Just Wink

So I have to tell you guys about the funniest and cutest app in existence right now: just wink. It's an app by American Greetings that lets you create your own card greeting cards that can be texted or emailed. And not only does the app itself have a quirky sense of humor to it, the cards themselves are hilarious. But what makes me really want to brag about the awesomeness of these cards is a good friend from high school helped create this app! (I'm so proud...it's like he helped create post-its!)

They have a variety of categories, and then fun sub categories within them. What you can't see in this picture is card topics on Bromance, fml,  and yay, new human!

See what I mean about clever humor with the thought bubbles that say, "perv", "you're drunk", and "yay carrrdssss!!!"?

How can you not love a card about friendship and pirates?!

You can even add your signature to your card when you're ready to send it.

And if you weren't already convinced that just wink is the most genius and clever creator of cards is paper versions exist too! I found these at Target, but I think you can find them other places too. So download this app and treat your friends to some thoughtful and funny sentiments.

Tiny Prints

Have you ever made cards at tinyprints.com? If you're like me and you love all things paper and stationery, and still love sending mail, then you have to check out their site. All of their cards can be personalized with your own photos and text. Or if you're not a professional photographer they have the cutest variety of cards without photos too. The ladder being my preference since I'm such a sucker for creative graphic designs. TinyPrints will definitely be my new place for all my card shopping. Their large variety, great prices, and the ability to add in your own message and names into the card, show your recipient you put more thought into it than just dashing to the store for a last minute card. These are few of my favorite; perfect for the upcoming summer card giving occasions. And be sure to check out more at their site too!

A vintage hello

Most of you know the love I have in my heart for Hallmark, (don't even get me started on the ornaments coming out in October!) but when I'm looking for birthday or other milestone cards for my friends I can never find one that is equally cute, pretty and different. They're either too sappy or complain about how awful it is to be getting one year older. So today I turned to my reliable, favorite place for cute cards: Borders book store.

They feature cards from popular places like Hello Lucky! and Papyrus but today I stumbled upon the cutest vintage remake brand selling there now called Nu-Vue Studio. They have a diverse collection of postcards, greeting cards, maps and other emphera. They cover all the major card giving occasions and even have an etsy store, selling only a small selection of their designs, too. They have a short list of stores that sell their cards on their website, but I found mine at an Indianapolis Borders and it's not listed on their store list so perhaps it hasn't been updated in awhile? Test your luck if you have a Borders in your city and check out their card section; and then be prepared to buy one of each. I'm going to have to figure out a way to get some of their Christmas cards because they are too cute not to have!
